CHURCH VAN EXPANDS SUNDAY MORNING RIDERSHIP
If you're tired of the rising price of gasoline (aren't we all?) and want to be a good steward of the Earth, you might want to try riding AUMC's van to church on Sunday mornings. Starting Sunday, July 6, you don't have to be a senior citizen or physically challenged in order to ride-- everyone is welcome! Here are the specifics:
We're going to try different geographical areas to see where there's interest. Our first "expanded service" area is bounded by Collins to the East, Coit on the West, Lookout on the North and Arapaho on the South. If you don't live in this area but would still like a ride, please call us at the number below so we can adjust plans in the future.
Even though the van is big, space is still limited, so it's first come, first served on reservations. And, of course, our senior citizens and physically challenged will still have first priority.
Pick-up time will be between 9 and 9:30 a.m., returning after the 11 o 'clock service. To reserve a spot (or spots), please call (beginning June 30th) Patricia Allbee at 972-680-0218 (or email to pallbee@sbcglobal.net) before 8 p.m. on the night before you need a ride. If you have to leave a message, please leave a phone number where you can be reached.
During the past year, Arapaho's Mobile Ministry has been providing rides to only one or two senior citizens in that nice big van, so let's fill up the space, be in fellowship with one another, and help save the planet at the same time. Bring the whole family! See you on the van!
